My Journey: Meet Brian the Bladesmith

Having been given some physician driven instructions to start doing some cardio and exercise, I combined my fascination with the History Channel TV "Forged in Fire" to convert my wood working workshop into a forge.  Little did I know with just one years experience, I would become a finalist in a hotly contested Forged in Fire episode of my own (Season 6 Episode 5 The Hussar Saber).

Starting with a home made coal forge using an old donated gas grill body, I forged out my first knife using a reclaimed lawn mower blade on August  01, 2017. 

16 months and 100+ blades later, I have advanced to making commissioned historically accurate Bowie's for an Alamo enthusiast, carry blades for first responders and patriotic themed swords for veterans.  

I began using the process of knife making as a way to minister and train young people in Biblical concepts while forging new foundations into their lives and have been blessed to find a hidden talent released. 

I have branched into image etched blades, customized handles for chefs, and hand stitched one of a kind sheathes and holsters in the process.

I would love to build you a blade, create a one of a kind piece of art or train young and older folks, giving them an experience of old world creativity with a new world purpose.
